St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park

Located at mile 42 on the

Hummingbird Highway
and comprising 575 acres of primary and secondary forest, the St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park is a popular recreational spot for both locals and tourists alike.  The pool from which the park got its name, was formed from a collapsed sinkhole that is 25 feet deep which makes the water inside a stunning blue.  The St. Herman's Cave can also be found in the Park.  Mayan pottery vessels, spears and torches are some of the artifacts that were recovered by the Department of Archaeology.  This park is also a very popular spot for educational/recreational trips for students.
